We stayed at the Anchorage Hotel on New Years Eve about 12 years ago. It was a bucket-list time for my wife and I, and a great location to catch the fireworks. The Old-Anchorage ambience was wonderful. We, sadly, had no encounters with any resident spirits that we were aware of. I'd love to do it again! Mark Sutherlin
I lived at The Anchorage Hotel back in 1979-1980. The man I married worked there as the night clerk, so he lived in one of the apartments on the second floor. Our apartment faced 4th Street. The Hotel then wasn't in it's glory days. I still had a charm and yes you could feel "spirts". We left in 1980 and I believe shortly after the hotel was sold and brought back to its's glory. I haven't been able to return to see it and stay there but, someday so hopefully.

Mark – staying in the Anchorage hotel has to be a treat, even more so if you know anything about the history of the hotel. Thank you for sharing.
