Here is an Alaskan fact. A true Alaskan in spirit and pride was Gov. Bill Egan. My father and he were friends and what i remember about him was his great memory! I had not seen Gov. Egan in about ten years and one day while riding my bike i saw him out on his lawn in Turnagain. I stopped to say hello and he said....."hello Rick, how's your father Bill?" I was surprised he remembered MY name. We talked for about ten minutes about the past, present and future for Alaska. That was the last time I saw Gov. Bill Egan but i still think of him ever so often. A true gentleman!
